NSW: Police investigating the drowning of a four year old boy
SYDNEY, April 1 AAP - Police are investigating the drowning of a four-year-old boyin the Parramatta River at Meadowbank last night.
Police said they were called to Meadowbank Wharf about 8pm (AEST) last night afterSydney Ferry Staff reported they had retrieved the boy and a 32-year-old woman from theriver.
Ambulance officers performed CPR on the pair before taking them to Concord Hospital.
However, medical staff could not revive the child and the woman remained in hospitalin a stable condition.
Police are investigating the incident.
